6/24 UPDATE: Both black and white speaker stands are now back in stock.
The next batch of posts with our new custom inserts tested beautifully and we gave our fabricator the go-ahead. A few black posts will be ready as of the first weekend in June so we can fulfill backorders. By the end of the second week of June, we will be able to reopen for orders and we'll be able to offer our NoBox HomePod stands in both black and white.

This post is from June 2023, and the dates above are that June. We reopened, and black and white stands — single or as a pair — have been in stock and shipping ever since. Nothing here is pending.
The custom insert went into production and into every stand we built. Then we improved on it, so the post inside a stand you order today isn't quite the one this post is about.
The white post carries the insert this post announced: a plate, tapped and welded in. That joint was never marginal — three years of stands have stood on it. The black post is what came next, a nutsert, with precise factory-made threads and a fastener sized to match. It leaves more metal around the foot and the perch where they bolt to the post, and a stronger joint.
It made the stand easier to put together, too. The nutsert takes an allen screw, and the wrench comes in the box — so the one tool you need to assemble your stand arrives with it.
